I am a professional certified coach with over 25 years of senior roles within business and marketing, and a lifetime of experience in meditation and self-discovery.
I have always felt the need to balance two fundamental needs: outer success and inner peace…
MY STORY
I was born and raised in England, but have worked (and played) in London, France, Switzerland and Singapore where I lived for 18 years. I moved back to the UK in July 2021 with my husband, 2 daughters, and dog.
Mid-Career Opportunist
After 25+ years of working in senior sales & marketing roles, I decided to leave the corporate world, follow my heart (and gut) and become a coach.
Why?
To put my professional, holistic and interpersonal skills to good use in a way that I love.
A Natural Fit
I have been meditating since the age of sixteen, and the practice has become a touchstone for my own sanity and self-development. After moving to Asia, I studied Asian Classical Philosophy for 4 years (Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism) to explore deeper perspectives on life, the universe, and surviving parenthood! I have always gravitated towards coaching techniques such as goal articulation, visualization and NLP to achieve my own goals: from having my two daughters under self-hypnosis to achieving ambitious work goals.
Common Sense and Bravery
I have held a number of senior positions in advertising, marketing, and tech agencies, working for the likes of Ogilvy, JWT and BBDO before moving into the start-up space, managing operations, sales and marketing for Software as a Service companies looking to build a regional footprint in Asia.
Each role has required me to ‘build the plane’ as I fly it. Common sense, bravery, creativity, strategic thinking and a sense of humor have always got me through. I know deep in my bones that we each have the power to write our own stories…and that when we’re out of our comfort zone, we enter a zone of growth.
My career started with a 9-month internship at the UN/WTO in Geneva helping businesses in developing economies realize their trading potential. Growing frustrated with the slow pace, I moved back to London where I ran business development teams for a couple of well-respected marketing agencies; before the travel bug hit me again and I moved to Singapore. Here, I ran regional key account teams in top advertising agencies including Ogilvy and JWT; and later headed up joint ventures with specialist digital agencies looking to break into Asian markets, and launching marketing-technology start-ups in the loyalty & digital CRM sectors.
From Macro to Micro
Throughout my career, I have ‘zoomed in’ – from large advertising agencies to tech start-ups and from mass marketing to direct communication. I wanted to get closer to the consumer and use insights to make communication more personal and meaningful.
Paradoxically, as I was doing this I felt that I was getting further and further away from any meaningful connection with my own work. My career had turned into something that revolved around delivering numbers and I had lost track of what I really wanted, which was to help people create meaningful change for themselves.
It was time for a change. I couldn’t ignore it any longer…and I didn’t want to.
Pivot and… shift!
When my friend mentioned coaching, I knew it made sense.
Before I knew it, I’d signed up with an amazing school to obtain my International Coaching Federation (ICF) accreditation, and started working with coaching clients, including the tech company I was at.
When the Corona pandemic hit in 2020, I decided against all odds, to throw myself into coaching full time, and have never looked back since. I put myself out-there, coached my pants off and hit my target of six figures within my first year.
I now work with amazing, competent and capable clients all over the world, helping them live their best selves - at work, play and life in general.
A LIFELONG LEARNER
My journey hasn’t stopped there. In 2021 I certified as a Positive Intelligence coach as I found this synthesized much of what I had learned in my own journey into a seamless and secular way to access states of resourcefulness, calm and perspective.
I’ve always been fascinated with hypnotherapy having found a natural ability with it since my late teens, and in early 2024, I achieved a long-term goal of studying under Paul McKenna and qualifying as a Mindvalley hypnotherapist.
I continue to learn every day through curiosity, introspection and the wisdom of my clients.
